Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Royale Guru.

Interpretation and Definitions

Words with a capitalized first letter have the meanings defined below, whether they appear in singular or plural.

• Application means the Royale Guru mobile app provided by the Company and downloaded by You on any device.
• Application Store means the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, from which the Application was downloaded.
• Account means the account created for You to use the Service. An Account may be anonymous (created automatically on Your device) or linked to an email address or a sign-in provider.
• Battle Review means the analysis of a recorded battle that the Service produces, including its Insights, replay markers and any answers to questions You ask about it.
• Company (“the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”) means Sly Trunk LLC, 481 N. Santa Cruz Ave. #120, Los Gatos, CA 95030.
• Content means anything You submit to the Service, including battle snapshots, Your player tag, questions and feedback.
• Credits means the analysis credits You buy as In-app Purchases and spend on Battle Reviews.
• Feedback means comments, ratings or suggestions You send about the Service.
• In-app Purchase means a purchase made through the Application, subject to these Terms and to the Application Store's own terms.
• Service means the Application, the website at royaleguru.com, and the servers that analyze Your battles.
• Supercell means Supercell Oy, the developer of Clash Royale.
• You means the person using the Service.

Acknowledgment

These Terms govern Your use of the Service and form the agreement between You and the Company. By accessing or using the Service You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You disagree with any part of them, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If You are under 18, or under the age of majority where You live, You may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on Your behalf and is responsible for Your use of the Service, including any purchases.

Your use of the Service is also subject to Our Privacy Policy, which explains what We collect, how We use it, and Your rights.

What the Service Does

Royale Guru records Your screen while You play a Clash Royale battle. On Your device, the Application keeps one still snapshot per second of the battle and uploads only those snapshots. The video recording and any sound never leave Your device. Our servers use artificial intelligence to read the snapshots, match them to the battle in Your public Clash Royale battle log, and produce a Battle Review.

While recording, stay in Clash Royale. The Application captures whatever is on Your screen during the recording, so anything else You open (messages, notifications, other apps) may appear in the snapshots that are uploaded.

Battle Reviews Are Advice, Not Guarantees

Battle Reviews are generated automatically by artificial intelligence. They can misread a card, a placement, a time or a result, and the advice in them can be wrong or not suit Your style of play. Battle Reviews, deck suggestions and answers to questions are provided for entertainment and general information only. We do not promise that following them will win You battles, trophies or anything else.

Your Use of Clash Royale

You are responsible for following Supercell's Terms of Service while You play Clash Royale. Royale Guru does not modify the game, read its memory, or play for You; it only looks at what is shown on Your screen and at public data Supercell makes available through its official API. Do not use the Service in any way that breaks Supercell's terms or gives You an unfair advantage during a battle.

You may only enter a player tag that is Yours or that You are allowed to use. We use the player tag to fetch the public profile, card collection and battle log that Supercell publishes for it.

Credits and In-app Purchases

Some Battle Reviews may be free; others require Credits. Credits are consumable In-app Purchases. They are not a subscription and do not renew.

• All billing is handled by the Application Store You bought from and is governed by its terms. For payment problems or refunds, contact the Application Store directly.
• Credits can only be used within the Service. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or sold.
• Buying Credits requires an Account linked to an email address or sign-in provider, so Your Credits are kept if You change devices. Credits on an anonymous Account may be lost if You delete the Application or reset Your device.
• If a Battle Review fails because of a problem on Our side, the Credit spent on it is returned to Your Account.
• Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable. We may consider other refund requests case by case, at Our discretion.
• If You delete Your Account, any unused Credits are lost and are not refunded.
• We may change prices, the number of Credits in a pack, or which features need Credits. Changes do not affect Credits You have already bought.

User Accounts

You are responsible for keeping the email address and password, or the sign-in provider, You use for Your Account secure, and for activity under Your Account. Tell Us right away at royaleguru@slytrunk.com if You believe Your Account has been used without Your permission.

You can delete Your Account at any time from the Profile screen in the Application. Deleting Your Account deletes Your battles, snapshots and Battle Reviews as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your Content

You keep any rights You have in the Content You submit. You grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process and analyze Your Content in order to provide, maintain and improve the Service, including sending it to Our service providers for that purpose. Battle Reviews are not shown to other users unless You choose to share them.

You must not submit Content that is unlawful, that violates anyone's privacy or intellectual property rights, or that contains viruses or other harmful code. Do not use the questions feature to send abusive, threatening or obscene text. We may remove Content and limit or end Your use of the Service if You do.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code or prompts of the Service, except where the law allows it;
• access the Service by automated means, overload it, or interfere with its security;
• use the Service to build a competing product or to collect data about other players at scale;
• resell the Service or Battle Reviews; or
• impersonate another person or use another player's tag without permission.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features and functionality (excluding Your Content and Supercell's material) are and will remain the property of the Company and its licensors. Clash Royale names, card names, artwork and game data shown in the Service belong to Supercell and are used under Supercell's Fan Content Policy. Our name and logo may not be used without Our prior written consent.

Copyright Complaints

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If You believe material in the Service infringes Your copyright, send a notice to royaleguru@slytrunk.com with the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)): Your signature, a description of the work, where the material appears in the Service, Your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that Your notice is accurate and that You are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

Your Feedback to Us

If You send Feedback, such as rating an Insight or reporting a misread, You give the Company a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it without restriction or compensation to You.

Third-party Services and Links

The Service relies on and may link to services We do not control, including Clash Royale and Supercell's API, the Application Stores, and Our hosting and AI providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. If Supercell changes or withdraws access to its game data, some features may stop working.

Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If We discontinue the Service entirely, We will make reasonable efforts to give notice in the Application.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if You breach these Terms. When Your access ends, Your right to use the Service ends with it. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete Your Account from the Application.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the entire liability of the Company and its suppliers under these Terms, and Your exclusive remedy, is limited to the amount You actually paid through the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD if You have not bought anything.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company and its suppliers will not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost trophies or in-game progress, business interruption, or loss of privacy, arising out of or related to the use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some states do not allow these limitations, so some of them may not apply to You.

“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” Disclaimer

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company, on its own behalf and on behalf of its affiliates, licensors and service providers, disclaims all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet Your requirements, work with any device or with any version of Clash Royale, operate without interruption, or be accurate or error free.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to You; in that case they apply to the greatest extent the law allows.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules. If You have a concern or dispute about the Service, You agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting Us.

If You are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, You also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where You live.

United States Legal Compliance

You represent that You are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that You are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable or invalid, it will be changed and interpreted to accomplish its objectives to the greatest extent possible under the law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of it.

Translation

If We provide these Terms in another language, the English text prevails in case of a dispute.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If a change is material, We will make reasonable efforts to give at least 30 days' notice in the Application or by email before it takes effect. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect, You agree to the revised Terms. If You do not agree, stop using the Service.
